Tues 02 Mar 2010 Thommo Faces Czechs
By Andrew Dickson KEVIN THOMSON will win his second Scotland cap tomorrow night when he starts in the team to face the Czech Republic.
It's a welcome appearance for the former Hibernian player, whose only other international match came more than 18 months ago against Northern Ireland. Kenny Miller will also feature from kick off - but there's no place in the first XI for his Rangers colleague Kris Boyd. Instead, Birmingham City's James McFadden will be deployed in attack, although Boyd is expected to come on at some point. New manager Craig Levein has gone for an experimental line up to take on the Scots' Euro 2012 qualifying rivals at Hampden Park. His team includes Ibrox defender Andy Webster, currently on loan at Dundee United, meaning he'll play for the national side for the first time in four years and two days. Ex-Ger Alan Hutton is also in ahead of Steven Whittaker at right-back for the friendly fixture. Lee McCulloch appears certain to miss the game with an ankle knock sustained when he collided with Thomson in the first half of Sunday's crucial 1-0 victory. Latest News headlines
