Sat 13 Mar 2010 Boyd Anticipates Tough Test
by Lindsay Herron KRIS BOYD insists Dundee United will be tough opponents at Ibrox on Sunday even although Rangers have scored TEN times against them this season. Rangers won 3-0 at Tannadice on December 15 then hammered them 7-1 at Ibrox 15 days later. Boyd was largely responsible blasting five goals to become the SPL's record goal-scorer, a feat that was recognised with a golden boot, now on display in the Ibrox Trophy Room. Now United stand between Rangers and a place in Monday's semi-final draw for the Active Nation Scottish Cup but Boyd is anticipating a difficult day. He said: "We have played United a couple of times this season and they have been hard games despite the score lines. "We won 7-1 the last we played but the score did not reflect the game at all. We had it tough for quite a while in that match. "I'm sure it will be no different on Sunday. It's a game we look forward to with confidence but we recognise that it will be a difficult one for us. "United are a big physical team and they have good players so we know that they are capable of causing problems. "They have shown that this season and you only have to look at their league position to see that. "Even although Craig Levein left, Peter Houston has taken the job on and done well."
