Steven Davis meets Rangers fans in AustraliaAnd at the hour-long gathering they got to meet manager Walter Smith, captain David Weir and most of the main players in the 21-strong travelling party to Australia.

ORSA secretary Andrew McKnight said: "Seven or eight weeks ago when the tour was first announced, we began planning so that we could have something like this for fans.

"It has taken a lot of organising but we're here now and everyone is having a really good time which is the most important thing.

"The guys here have all been excited about this day for a long time now because they don't get to see the team or each other very often.

"The crowds supporting Rangers at the Blackburn and Sydney games have been really good but I think it'll be even bigger on Saturday against AEK Athens.

"A lot of guys from places such as Perth are coming in for that game and it'll be a great way to round off the club's time in Australia.

"We can't thank the club enough for coming over again for the first time in 26 years. Their being here has made a lot of people very happy."
