NESS, a former Scotland under-19 international, is a young player with all the attributes to become a top class central midfielder.

Tall and athletic with a powerful build the Troon-born teenager is one of several Murray Park starlets expected to make his first-team debut for Rangers in 2010/11 having been on the bench for several games in 2009/10.

Ness, previously with Kilmarnock, joined the Gers ranks at the age of 14 but has trained regularly with Walter Smith's squad from a young age.

The experience gained has helped his development and despite having injury problems to contend with in the past he remains an exciting prospect.
