NOT a prolific scorer of goals, Kyle Lafferty has none the less hit some crucial counters for Rangers.

Rangers win 53rd title at Easter RoadHe ended the 2009/10 season in fine form with five goals in the final month of the campaign.

That included the goal which proved to be the title winner at Easter Road, the second season in succession in which he had bagged the decisive goal in the championship chase.

Almost twelve months earlier he made the breakthrough at Tannadice as Rangers clinched the league flag on the last day of the season.

Those important goals helped Lafferty to two of the three medals he has bagged since moving north from Burnley in the summer of 2008.

In two seasons Lafferty was used largely as a substitute and often on the left side of midfield.

However in a total of 28 league starts in his opening two seasons in Glasgow Lafferty amassed 13 SPL goals.

The Northern Ireland international Lafferty first came to light when he debuted for Burnley in a 2-1 defeat at Crewe Alexandra in August 2005.

He was soon sent on loan to Darlington and scored three times in nine games for them before returning to Turf Moor to net his first goal for the Clarets against Luton.

In total, Lafferty scored 10 times for Burnley before his long-projected move to Glasgow was confirmed.

The 6'4" forward has also claimed a number of goals for his country and his work-rate has been cited as a major factor in David Healy's magnificent goals return for the Province.
