The Bar72 member has been watching the Light Blues in action for 48 years and, like thousands of fans, made sure he got to the Ticket Centre to secure his seat for the 2012/13 season and his friends’ seats as well.
Fans are getting behind Ally and the Rangers players by purchasing their season tickets and Campbell is just relieved to see the Light Blues in action, regardless of what league they are in.
He said: “Up at Brechin the main thing for me, and I’m sure all the supporters, was to see the Rangers players running out a tunnel and on to a pitch again.
“There was a real sense of excitement up at Glebe Park and that will be the same at Ibrox.
“From the Queen Street True Blues alone I put in 200 season ticket renewal forms which shows the commitment the fans have.
“At the end of the day we are Rangers supporters and a lot of us have been going to the games for a long, long time.
“It’s what we do with our lives, we follow Rangers.
“We took two coaches up to Brechin with 140 people so whether it’s games at Ibrox, Peterhead, Berwick or wherever we will be there.
“The main thing for me was that the club survived and now we can look forward.
“It’s good to see some of the young players pushing through and new players also being brought in.
“Ian Black is a superb player and he will win over the fans and Dean Shiels has shown his quality for a few years now.
“So there’s no reason why we can’t have a great season and, who knows, we might just enjoy a bit of success in the Cups as well.”
The season ticket renewal deadline has been put back to Friday, August 10 at 7pm, for more info click here.
