Rangers On Twitter

Official Rangers Twitter Page was launched in August 2011 and has experienced steady growth since launch.

It's a way for you to talk directly to representatives from the club and also to keep up to date with all the latest news straight from your team.

Rangers now have several official Twitter accounts with over 100,000 fans receiving regular news updates and insider insights from the Club.

What is Twitter?
Twitter is a free microblogging website that allows its users to communicate their thoughts and opinions in 140 characters or less.

If you've not signed up for Twitter yet, then it's pretty easy to do, you just need to go to the website and sign up with your username of choice. If you don't fancy signing up for the site then you can still keep up to date with the latest news by checking here: @RFC_Official

Who can I follow?
Whoever you want really - We have one main club account (@RFC_Official) and several other accounts with specific themes so you can tailor your Twitter experience to suit what it is that you're interested in.

Check out this article here that gives you a run down of all of the official club accounts, players and staff.

What kind of things do you tweet?
Loads of stuff! Rangers use Twitter to bring you the latest news from Ibrox and Auchenhowie, quizzes, trivia, live match commentary, press conference coverage, behind the scenes pictures and even a bit of banter wherever we can.

If there's something that you'd like to be kept more up to date about or even something that just really annoys you then get in touch with us.

Will you reply to me?
We sure will! You can tweet directly to the club account and you will receive and answer from one of the team of staff who are on Twitter.

We use the latest social media monitoring tools to listen out for conversations that our fans are having about the club and try to pitch in with an answer or at least a way for you to find out more on whatever they're talking about wherever possible.

We believe that it's better for you to have a conversation directly with a member of staff that you can get to know rather than from our official account, so you'll receive a reply as quick as we can from one of the team.

We hope that you get to know us a little better as we want to talk about Rangers just as much as you do!

Will you follow me?
No - the main club account will only follow our players (first team, youth team & ladies team), other official accounts and members of staff.

We know that there are a load of fake accounts out there so we hope that this will help you to know which accounts are real. If you find an account and you're unsure whether it's real then feel free to give us a shout and we'll keep you right.

Can you retweet me?
In general, no, however sometimes we will retweet you if your tweet is important or directly relevant to a discussion that we're having. We won't be doing 'requests' as we think that you'd get pretty annoyed at us taking up all of your timeline!

I have more questions
If we've not covered a question that you want to know the answer to, then feel free to drop us a Tweet.

Rangers Players & Staff on Twitter
These accounts are the responsibility of the players themselves and the club cannot be held responsible for the views of individuals.

Rangers players and staff have all been advised on the clubs social media policy and have also been advised by the police on what they are to do should they receive any abuse of a personal, racist or sectarian nature.

The Rangers social media team monitor the conversations that the public have with the players and any tweets found to be abusive will be reported to Twitter and where necessary, the police.

I have more questions
If you have any questions then please get in touch with us and we’ll reply as soon as we can. Also, if you have an idea for how we could improve our social media presence or ways of engaging with the fans or if there’s anything that just really annoys you then get in touch.
