Duo Make Loan Moves

Written by

RANGERS have taken the opportunity to put two players out on short-term loans to give them extra match practice during the SPFL Under-20 League’s winter break.

Calum Gallagher and Luca Gasparotto have both left the club until January 19 for League Two sides.

Striker Gallagher, one of the form players in Gordon Durie’s age group team recently, has gone to East Stirlingshire.

He’ll go straight into their squad for their trip north to face Elgin City at Borough Briggs this afternoon.

Likewise, Canadian defender Gasparotto should be involved in Albion’s away fixture at Peterhead today.

Each player has five games in which they could play during their spells at Shire and the Binos.

Indeed, they could even come up against each other directly when the clubs clash at Forthbank on January 4.

Gers aren’t scheduled to play again in the under-20 competition until January 21, when they’re currently provisionally pencilled in to host Ross County.

Gallagher and Gasparotto will both have returned to Murray Park in time to be involved in that game should it take place when planned.
