Get Fit For Life With Rangers

Written by

RANGERS Football Club has secured more funding from Glasgow City Council to deliver three 10-week health programmes for 15 participants based at Ibrox.

Run in conjunction with Glasgow West Community Health Partnership, the programmes are completely free and will run throughout the new season starting next month.

Each session will focus on a different area of your lifestyle and will cover a range of topics including:

  • Diet & Nutrition.
  • Reducing your blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
  • Drug and alcohol awareness.

The project will begin with a health and fitness assessment of each participant, then at the end of the 10-week programme, everyone will undergo the same assessment and the differences will be evaluated.

The information gathered will be used to develop new ways to make people more interested in improving their health and well-being.

The practical element of the programme will consist of gym work, 5-a-side football and trackside running within Ibrox.
