Laudrup To Face AC Milan!

Exclusive By Neil Smith

BRIAN LAUDRUP has confirmed  this week that he WILL play for a Rangers Legends side against AC Milan Glorie at Ibrox Stadium on March 30.

The Dane is feeling fit and can't wait to take on several of his former Rossoneri teammates in a match that will raise funds for the Rangers Charity Foundation and the AC Milan Foundation.

Laudrup, of course, is one of the greatest players to ever wear a blue jersey and in 1993/94 he enjoyed a one-year loan spell at the San Siro from Fiorentina.

During that time the Italian giants won a Serie A title and the Champions League, beating Barcelona 4-0 in the final in Athens, and while Laudrup struggled to cement a place in Fabio Capello's starting eleven it was an experience he will never forget.

The winger is already counting down the days until his return to Glasgow and he is looking forward to playing with and against a few familiar faces.

He said: "I am delighted that we can help the Rangers Charity Foundation and the AC Milan Foundation raise funds and when I was told that I was going to play for Rangers against one of my former clubs I jumped at the chance.

"It should be a fantastic night at Ibrox and I'm sure the fans that turn up will be thrilled because there will be a lot of great players involved.

"I hope the stadium will be full and I am really looking forward to what should be a very special occasion.

"It is exciting for everyone."

You can read his full exclusive interview in this weekend's Rangers v Hibs matchday programme, priced just £3.

Tickets for the Legends Dinner at the Radisson Blu on Thursday 29 March 2012 are now on sale for £100 each, or £1,000 for a table of ten, and can be booked by contacting the Rangers Charity Foundation on 0141 580 8775 or by e-mailing rangerscharity@rangers.co.uk.

The dinner, hosted by Jim White, will provide an opportunity to meet some of the stars taking part in the game and hear interviews and anecdotes, as well as enjoying a sumptuous 3 course meal and wine.

Tickets for the match on the evening of Friday 30 March 2012 will be available for purchase to season ticket holders from Monday 20 February and will go on public sale a week later on Monday 27 February. Adult tickets cost £10 each, with concession/children's tickets costing £5 each.
