More To Come From Temps

Written by

ALLY McCOIST had a stark warning for Third Division clubs after sensing there is more to come from two-goal debutant David Templeton.

The former Hearts winger lit up Ibrox with his first display in a light blue shirt and McCoist admits he got exactly what he expected from his new recruit.

He said: "He gives us everything we thought we would get from the wee man.

"He takes the ball in tight areas, commits people, creates chances and scores goals.

"In terms of his debut we couldn't have been happier.

"He's obviously going to be a real crowd pleaser and I think the fans have already taken to him.

"It was a good start and there is plenty to come from David but as debuts go I would have to say it has been good.”

McCoist also played down the criticism of his player that came from his former club ahead of today’s match.

He added: “I would say that every player who has left this club has done so with our best wishes and maybe that's the way to do it.

"I don't claim to know him very, very well but I don't see him having an attitude problem.

"He'll have dips in form like everyone, but I'd like to think I'm not in the habit of going to sign players with attitude problems.”
