Gers Set For SPL Side

Written by

RANGERS will be paired with an SPL side this afternoon when the draw for the Third Round of the League Cup is made.

The Gers progressed to the last 16 with a 3-0 home win over Falkirk last Thursday and will now be one of eight unseeded teams in the draw.

Fellow winners from Round Two St Mirren, Aberdeen and Inverness are seeded along with Scotland's five European representatives who join the competition at this stage.

Those five are Celtic, Motherwell, Hearts, Dundee United and St Johnstone.

The draw takes place at New Douglas Park in Hamilton at 2.00pm with all Third Round matches set to be played on Tuesday 25th or Wednesday 26th September.
