Michelle, a journalism graduate from Napier University, had been fighting cervical cancer for two years.
Former team mate Sandy Jardine said: “On behalf of everyone at Rangers Football Club, I would like to send my sincere condolences to Willie and his family.
“It is a tragedy he has lost his daughter Michelle at such a young age and I know she fought bravely against her illness.
“Football is certainly put into perspective when you hear news like this and our thoughts are with Willie and his family at this difficult time.”
