Boca is currently on loan at Spanish club Racing Santander until the end of the season and although he is enjoying life in Spain he still misses Rangers and playing in front of the Ibrox faithful.
The United States star, who flew back to Spain on Sunday, keeps in touch with all the latest news on the official website www.rangers.co.uk and is delighted that the Light Blues are currently on a good run of results.
Speaking from the training ground last weekend he said: “It’s been good to be back. Seeing everyone in the front office, the players and everyone around the ground has been great and it’s been nice to see familiar faces and friends.
“My locker was still there which I was surprised about, my clothes were ready and I was ready to go. So it was really nice and it felt good to come back here and see everybody as well.
“I’m enjoying (being in Spain) a lot, it’s a change of pace from Scotland. The weather is a bit more calm out there and I see the sun a bit more.
“It’s a nice lifestyle, I’m living near the beach which is really cool being from California so that side of things I’m enjoying.
“I do miss being at home and playing in front of the fans at Ibrox, the atmosphere like that you can’t find anywhere else but playing in Spain is good and it’s a good challenge for me.”
Carlos is proud when his Racing teammates ask him about Rangers and how the club continues to get such big crowds despite being in the fourth tier of Scottish football.
He said: “My teammates over in Spain ask me how 50,000 people come to a Third Division game and I just say 'hey it’s the Rangers and that’s how it is'.
“I find it hard to believe but you can just imagine the people in Spain that have no idea about it and have not been to a game here. They’re shocked when they see 47,000 at a game so that’s pretty cool.”
Carlos will be looking out for Rangers’ results in December and hopes they can maintain their recent winning form.
He added: “The Rangers website does a good job with that at www.rangers.co.uk. I hop on at the weekend and throughout the week and check up on the guys.
“I know we’ve had quite a few injuries here and stuff like that so I keep in touch."
