RANGERS Football Club has launched the world’s first hologram sports app – Virtual Rangers – featuring ground-breaking technology that takes supporters closer than ever to their Light Blue heroes and Ibrox legends.
Virtual Rangers – which is free to download now on iTunes – lets fans have their pictures taken with hologram images of first-team stars and heroes from the past whatever their location.
At work, at home, on a five a side pitch and literally anywhere else in the world, the new app can be used to take pictures with the players at any venue and supporters can also watch the players perform tricks and enjoy a host of exclusive interviews conducted by Rangers legend Andy Goram.
Developed by Appear To Me and featuring UltraReality hologram technology, the ground-breaking app features an exclusive message from Manager Ally McCoist and video action of a host of top-team stars including club captain Lee McCulloch, David Templeton, Lewis Macleod, Robbie Crawford and Fraser Aird.
The legends section features exclusive ‘Goalie Interviews’ conducted by fans’ favourite Goram and hologram images of former Ibrox stars Jorg Albertz, Richard Gough, Lorenzo Amoruso, Michael Mols and Bert Konterman.
Virtual Rangers also features live breaking news updates, league tables, fixtures, results, squad info, match reports, Audioboos plus the ability to share photos on Facebook and Twitter and is the perfect companion for all Rangers fans.
The app is available to download free on iTunes now and features an McCoist message and sample content from a hologram of McCulloch.
Further content can be accessed for just £2.99 and an Android version of the app will also be available in the near future with more players to be added to the database throughout the campaign.
Rangers Manager McCoist said: “Rangers fans worldwide are passionate about their football club and the Virtual Rangers app takes them closer than ever to their heroes.
