A PLAN to reconstruct the Scottish league structure was defeated at a meeting of the SPL clubs today and as a result the SFL have called off their Special General Meeting scheduled for this Friday.

ALLY McCOIST has welcomed the outcome of a meeting of SFL clubs which suggests changes to the structure of Scottish football’s senior leagues could be delayed until 2014/15.
ALLY McCOIST is insistent that it will be to the benefit of Scottish football as a whole and a just and fair decision if Rangers are promoted into a second tier of 12 clubs in the 12-12-18 reconstruction format proposed by the SPL.
