STUART McCALL believes Rangers have been missed in Scottish football’s top flight this season and thinks the game needs them back at that level as soon as possible.

ALLY McCOIST has backed St Mirren and Ross County for sticking to their guns in the wake of criticism in some quarters for their “no” votes in the reconstruction issue.

A PLAN to reconstruct the Scottish league structure was defeated at a meeting of the SPL clubs today and as a result the SFL have called off their Special General Meeting scheduled for this Friday.

RANGERS Football Club has released the folllowing statement in relation to the SPL seeking costs for their recent Commission:

ALLY McCOIST has welcomed the outcome of a meeting of SFL clubs which suggests changes to the structure of Scottish football’s senior leagues could be delayed until 2014/15.

ALLY McCOIST is insistent that it will be to the benefit of Scottish football as a whole and a just and fair decision if Rangers are promoted into a second tier of 12 clubs in the 12-12-18 reconstruction format proposed by the SPL.
