Scott Gallacher

GOALKEEPER Scott Gallacher has had a long road to his current position as Neil Alexander’s understudy.

Initially third choice behind Alexander and Allan McGregor, his only real experience of first-team football came in a loan spell at Cowdenbeath in 2008.

Working under experienced goalkeeping coach Jim Stewart, the Bellshill man is more than capable of stepping in to replace Alexander should he be required.

Gallacher knows the feeling of success with Rangers, having played in the team that secured back-to-back under-19 league and cup doubles in 2006/07 and 2007/08.

He was an ever present on the ‘Gers bench in 2012/13 season until injury saw him lose his place to highly-rated youngster Blair Currie.
