DANNY Röhl has praised the continuous support from the Rangers fans as he looks to keep taking in the club in a positive direction.
Making strides forward since being appointed Head Coach back in October, the German has guided the team to an unbeaten run of eight domestic games including seven wins.
Speaking to RangersTV in an exclusive sit-down interview, he highlighted the change in mood amongst the club since his arrival, he said: “In general the results influence a lot of energy around the group.
“I think it was the reason why when I arrived here we work on this.
“Get at first results, for me the results are much more important than going straight in to implement all the details from the philosophy and from the identity that comes now step by step.
“We are in a good way, still things to improve, how we occupy the box of the opponent, how much defence we have, decision-making in the final third and there is now other things that we have to improve but the group is very open minded for all these things.
“They work really hard, I think there is a great togetherness - I have said this many times now, a good signal was after the Aberdeen game away I felt the atmosphere in the dressing room.
“It was outstanding, I felt really that there is a big connection now, this is what we need. It is all about the team, it is not about individual things, it is a team and if you do it as a team we can achieve good things this season.
“Last home match atmosphere? It was fantastic, the Dundee game showed me and the supporters that we are in the right direction.
“We can achieve this is a team, a team means for me not just my players and the staff it means for me the supporters as well.
“We are one team, we have one goal together and we need this positive energy and they know during a game there is some games where we are maybe not happy and we are a little bit disappointed because we make the wrong decision but even at this moment it is very important that we come through together.
“That we push each other, that we help each other that helps massively and if you can do this in the next couple of weeks then I am very positive.”
The German has spoken on the steps his team has taken on the pitch so far, hoping to continue improving amidst a continuous busy run of crucial outings.
He continued: “I think in the case of the results everything goes in the right direction.
“We still have parts to improve; we are connected more and more in both directions with the ball and against the ball.
“Now it is really about to create more and more chances every time.
“I think this is the part we have some good games where we have created a lot of good opportunities and then some games we miss some. I think this is a part to improve, I am happy with the clean sheets, this is a big part for us.
The last outing at Ibrox ahead of this evening’s visit of Kilmarnock saw the Gers fire in two stoppage times goals to get over the line, with Röhl saying everyone in the stands has a part to play as they target a strong end to the season.
He added: “This is a big part for me, I know sometimes after the game I know it is not easy for everyone to control the emotional thing but we have to show the respect to the fans.
“I think this is the reason why I always walk around and even if it just some couple of people of there for me it is important to give them this respect.
“They pay the price for the tickets, they support us, they travel with us and are always there and they deserve this.
“We try to give our best on the pitch, put a lot of effort in to take points. This is what we want it to be, we want to be connected with them and we want to make them happy when they go home.
“That means we have won games and we work on this every day.
“They also influence the opponent sometimes because if the opponent feel if there is pressure on and we are on the front foot and they are loud and there are good noises around us then it helps massively.
“If it is quiet and the atmosphere is a little bit unhappy then the opponents feels this because then they feel we can do something here.
“We should be so strongly connected and positive and going forward the opponent feels on the day is it not a day where we can get something.”
