LIBBY BANCE has expressed her delight at scoring her first professional goals as the midfielder marked her debut for her new club with an impressive brace.
The 20-yard-old joined the Gers on deadline day and made her first Rangers appearance as a half-time substitute in their 12-0 win over Montrose this afternoon.
Speaking to RangersTV after the game Bance said it felt amazing to get her first minutes for the club and is looking to contribute more to the team moving forward.
She said: “It was amazing, I never knew if I was going to make my debut today but I am really glad I did. I think in the second half we definitely stepped it up slightly and obviously punished them a lot for any errors they made. We kept the ball really well and we were really clinical today.”
“I wasn't expecting to score at all today but I said before in the first interview that I was looking to add more goals and my first career goals. It was super exciting and I can't wait to add more hopefully.”
The loanee has highlighted the ruthless approach from the team as they continuously went in search for more goals throughout and says she was happy to be involved with playing with her new teammates for the first time.
She continued: “I spoke to some of the girls and they said this league can be super tight at the top. Obviously we are looking to win the league and sometimes it does come down to goal difference so it is really great we managed to score so many goals today.
“It was just to enjoy it, just to enjoy the experience obviously I have never played with these girls before so just sort of get to know them. Create partnerships with them as well, I am really pleased to score.”
The Gers now have a two-week break before their next fixture in the Sky Sports Cup against Hearts and Bance says full preparation will now be on the build-up to their return to action.
She added: “The work never stops, the ones of us left will still be working super hard in preparation for our game after the international break.”
