CHELSEA CORNET has encouraged her Rangers teammates to give ‘one last push’ in their league campaign as they head into their final two fixtures.
Speaking to RangersTV to look ahead to the midweek game in Edinburgh, the midfielder wants the team to continue giving it their all to see where it takes them in the final week of the season.
She commented: “We have got two games to look forward to until the end of the season and a massive cup final, but we take each game as it comes and we just need to keep adding the three points on the board.
“It is massive, cup finals are games that you want to play in and for us the next two games are really cup finals as well.
“We need they wins so it is a huge time for us and we are at the end of the season where we just need to keep pushing and it is one last push from us and we are hoping we can keep doing that.
“Nothing is finished yet so all we can do is keep winning and that is our aim so that is all we need to focus on is ourselves.
“I know it is tough as players the three-game weeks are hard but we just need to get our head down and keep working hard like we have been the full season.
“I think the girls have been giving everything and that is all we can continue to do for the fans.
Rangers were victorious on their last two trips to Meadowbank Stadium in March across two different competitions and the Scotland international feels the Light Blues can take the positives from those outings to come out on top once again.
She continued: “You had two wins over Hibs in March, is that something to try take into Wednesday night? We'll take confidence from them.
“We'll look over them again to refresh our memory on the things that we done well that we can take into Wednesday's game.
“Hopefully we can capitalise and get some more goals.
“We have played them quite a few times now so we know what to expect.
“We know that they are good team and we also know how we can capitalise on them.
“We will come off the back of this, we'll go and analyse them like we do every other team every week and we'll look into them and hopefully we can perform on Wednesday.
The weekend’s victory over last season’s champions guarantees European football next season for Jo Potter’s side, with Cornet saying it is something to relishing getting to test themselves against players at the top level.
She added: “The win secures Champions League football, that must be something to look forward to in the next campaign? Yes definitely that is massive.
“That was one of our main aims was to secure Champions League football.
“That is what you want to play in as a player, they are games that you want to have to look forward too and that is exactly what we have done so it is a big achievement for us.
