PHILIPPE CLEMENT praised two-goal skipper James Tavernier - but reckons he has a dressing room full of leaders.
The Rangers captain made it six goals in six games with a double in the 3-1 win over Hearts, with Scott Wright also netting, to book a Viaplay Cup final place against Aberdeen next month.
The gaffer has seen his side stretch their unbeaten run under him to five games and Clement believes they deserved the victory.
Speaking to RangersTV, he said: “Tav is growing game by game and he is feeling good in how we want to play.
“He is leading by example and I am happy in the dressing room I have a few leaders - and that is important for me.
“They understand the story and that is why it is evolving as the players think like I do and that helps the younger players.
“There are details we can make better and that’s normal. At this moment I want to create a family in the dressing room where everyone fights for everyone and everyone wins together.
“It’s not about the players who start or the ones who come on the pitch, it is about the whole dressing room.
“If everyone keeps pushing we can have a good season.
“The win was well deserved and it is clear to everyone who watched the game.
“We took control at the start, we created a lot of chances in the first half. The Hearts goalkeeper did a good job.
“In the first half Hearts were fresher but in the second half we forced it and we saw more space as we did well.
“We said to them at half-time to keep doing what we have been doing for weeks now.
“We had to stay with the same focus with and without the ball and when we lose it.
“Everyone did that and then at the end we could make a few changes to give players some minutes like Tom Lawrence, and that was also important for the next few weeks.”
The win was the perfect preparation for Thursday’s Europa League home clash with Sparta Prague and Clement has asked the fans to roar them to victory.
He added: “I want the players to enjoy this evening, we are happy, but tomorrow all the focus is on the game against Sparta Prague.
“That will be a hard game, but I hope the fans can continue what they have been doing to support the team.
“They give us massive energy and I hope that Ibrox will shout in a positive way on Thursday.”
