ANOTHER three goals and another clean sheet were what pleased manager Steven Gerrard the most as Rangers made it three wins from three in the Scottish Premiership.
The Light Blues were comfortable as they racked up another routine victory, though the manager called for his team to keep up their high standards throughout a 90 minutes.
Speaking live on RangersTV, Gerrard said: "I think the goals and the clean sheet, and we have Jon [McLaughlin] to thank for that.
"I think he made at least two or three really strong saves and Fil [Helander] made a couple of tidy interceptions as well so the clean sheet pleases me and the three points please me.
“I thought we were poor at 3-0 but I am really delighted with the individual goals. I thought Ryan [Kent]'s goal was a great team goal and obviously we scored from set-pieces so Tom Culshaw is doing his magic.
"So there are a lot of positives to take from the game and I will go away happy, but I am concerned with our standards at 3-0 - it wasn't good enough.
"There were too many people turning the ball over and too many players complicating things and taking the extra touch when it's not needed. We got sloppy and we didn't deserve four and five."
Gers broke the deadlock tonight thanks to another wonderful free-kick from Borna Barisic, and the manager continued: "It was a majestic piece of skill. It is very difficult to get that up and over and down and into the top corner, but he practices that so he deserves all the plaudits.
"It was a fantastic piece of play and that solves a big chunk of the problem as Callum [Davidson] had them well-drilled and I thought they stayed in the game to the end to be fair to them.
"But the first goal was very important and then obviously it was a very strong second team goal which pleased me a lot and it was at a good time as well and we went in at half-time 2-0 up which takes a lot of pressure away."
Kemar Roofe came on for a debut, with the manager adding: "He had a chance and Cedric had a couple of moments as well. Listen, the two of them are settling in and they will get up to speed with more training, being around the boys more and getting more minutes like tonight.
"At 3-0, I had my eye on the weekend - that's why I made that amount of substitutes when I did.
"But I expect players to come on and keep those standards. I thought Scott Arfield and Steven Davis tried to do that - but as a team, I just thought we let the game die off and our standards certainly dropped."
For Gers, it’s on to Livingston on Sunday teatime as they aim to make it four from four in the Scottish Premiership.
On that clash, the manager said: "It comes with its own challenges. Again, it will be a physical test - they will stand up and it will be a war at times and we will have to match them in-terms of physicality and stand up to them.
"Then when our moments come to play and show our quality, we will have to do that. But yeah, on the astro-turf it is always a different challenge.
"But we have been there before and performed ever-so well, so let’s hope we can do that again."
