CONNOR GOLDSON hopes Rangers can take confidence from last night’s 3-2 victory over Aberdeen at Pittodrie.
Two injury time goals saw the Light Blues come from behind to take all three points in the north-east and the defender insists it is important the squad can build on the victory.
Speaking to RangersTV at full-time, he said: “It wasn't pretty but again it is three points. We said in there that we probably wouldn't have won those last two games before and hopefully now we can get a bit of confidence back as a whole group and start picking up three points more often.
“I have been the same as the fans I have had to watch and it hasn't been nice because when we have conceded goals it has looked like we could never come back into games and obviously the boys have tried their best.
"It hasn't happened and we haven't created chances where as today we kept going and luckily got two chances and Scotty put them away.”
For Goldson, it was his first action since October having been out with an injury and he was delighted to be back involved with the squad.
He continued: “I am happy, I am absolutely knackered, I have trained twice but I want to play.
"I knew whenever the first game was that it was going to be hard and I knew that I had to get that out the way and hopefully try and recover now onto Friday. I just wanted to play as soon as I could and I am really happy to be back.
“Tonight, I don't think it is the best we will play but at the same time over a season you have to pick up three points playing ugly sometimes and hopefully with those two victories now it can build confidenc.
“It’s a home win and an away win against two of the better teams in the league so hopefully that can give the whole group confidence to now go into Friday and get another three points.”
