GRY Boe Thrysøe is excited to get going at Rangers, having agreed a deal to sign for the club.
Following a successful three-week trial period with the Gers back in January, the Danish midfielder will join up with the squad permanently ahead of the new campaign as she makes the move for the next two seasons to come.
Speaking to RangersTV in her first exclusive interview with the club, she said: “I am excited to meet the girls again; I haven't seen them in a little bit.
“Conversations? They just showed interest in me when I was here, and I feel really comfortable here.
“I think that is a big part of my decision also. I like being here, I like the people and the culture, because I love playing football but I also want to be comfortable off the field and feel like I belong somewhere, so that is a big part of it too.”
Having played in her home country, she swapped Europe for the USA to play college football in recent seasons but is confident she is able to make the jump into the full-time environment and pressures representing the club brings.
She continued: “I played back in Denmark until 2021 in Aalborg, and then I got an offer to play Division One college soccer.
“I just took that chance and spent five years in the States in Virginia and played for Old Dominion University. I just graduated from there, and now I am ready to start my professional career.
“I am sure it is different; I haven't really been part of this yet, but I am sure it has differences, but in the end it is just football.
“Once we are on the field it is 11 v 11, I am sure I will figure it out.”
The 25-year-old revealed the influence of a former Gers coach being a big factor in her decision to move to Glasgow, as she gave fans a taster of what they can expect to see when she features for the club.
Thrysøe added: “Actually, my college coach, Angie Hind she is from Scotland. She helped me out a lot; she knows some people here, and she spoke highly about Rangers as a club.
“She definitely put in a good word and helped me decide to come here.
“I work super hard, like running, and I'm not afraid to just go into a duel or tackle or header.
“Play pretty simple, get the ball, pass it and move it around.”
