JESS PEGRAM is enjoying life at Rangers, having settled in at the club over the past few weeks.
The defender made the season-long loan switch from English side Brighton as she swapped the WSL for the SWPL at the beginning of September.
Speaking to RangersTV to reflect on her time in blue, she commented: “I have really enjoyed it so far, I have had great support from Brighton and everyone here at Rangers so they have made the transition really easy.
“Working under Leanne? It has been really good, as I said previously, they want to play attractive football here, and I have really been able to bring that across from Brighton to here, and it has been quite an easy transition in terms of that.
“I think it is great, she can obviously bring all her experience into the game and her experience of the league, so she definitely has the insight of how we can play each weekend.”
The England youth international, who has made three appearances for the Light Blues so far, was handed her debut just days after signing in the Old Firm derby, with outings in recent weeks against both Partick Thistle and Aberdeen to follow, and she looked back on her time on the pitch to date.
She continued: “It was unreal, obviously playing Celtic in the first game. I had only been here like five days, so I was thrown right in at the deep end, but I was unfortunate to come off with a dead leg in the first 30 minutes, but I have had some minutes since then.
“Good for confidence levels? Yes, definitely, I had done my research and heard quite a bit about the Old Firm derby.
“Obviously, it is a massive game, but we were happy to come away with the three points.
“I am really happy with how it has been going. I have built up my minutes, starting with 30 in the first match, then 60, and finally 90, so I am happy.
“We really pride ourselves in trying to keep clean sheets, so we are really help with the result at the weekend.”
The young centre-back, who is just 18 years of age, is looking forward to the prospect of a potential Ibrox debut, with the Light Blues looking to continue their positive start to the season when they host Glasgow City this Sunday.
She added: “Ibrox is an amazing stadium to be able to play at with so much history at the ground so I am really looking forward to that.
“In this league, every match every weekend is such a big one.
“You have got to respect every team, no matter whether they finish bottom or they finish top, you have got to treat every team the same, so it is a big game this weekend, but we are working hard in training, so we should be all right.
“We have got a good run of games coming up, so we just need to keep working on everything in training, taking what we have learned from the past few games into the next and keep building.”
You can still get your hands on tickets for the clash this Sunday here, kicking off at 16:10 at Ibrox.
