RANGERS have a number of players out on loan at present and here’s our review of how those who featured got on over the last week.

Cole McKinnon – Partick Thistle

Cole returned to the Partick Thistle side in their 3-0 victory over Arbroath on Saturday afternoon.

The 19-year-old started and played 45 minutes for Ian McCall’s men as they ended a run of five straight defeats in their bid for promotion to the Scottish Premiership.

The Jags host Kelty Hearts in the Scottish Cup this weekend as Cole looks to continue his involvement for the Firhill side.

Tony Weston – Partick Thistle

Tony was an 86th minute substitute for McCall’s side on Saturday afternoon, helping the Jags see out victory in front of their home faithful.

The forward will hope for further involvement when Thistle welcome Kelty Hearts to Firhill in the Scottish Cup having played considerable minutes in the League Cup over the summer.

Murray Miller – Alloa Athletic

Murray was named in Brian Rice’s starting lineup for the seventh straight game on Saturday afternoon as the Wasps went down 4-3 in a thrilling contest with Edinburgh City.

The Gers loanee was on the pitch for 64 minutes as Alloa raced out to a 3-0 lead inside 17 minutes before contriving to lose the game.

Murray and the Wasps will now prepare to face Open Goal Broomhill in the Scottish Cup this weekend as they look to return to winning ways.

Juan Alegria – Falkirk

Juan was a 66th minute substitute for John McGlynn’s side on Saturday as the Bairns played out a frenetic 3-3 draw with Clyde away from home.

Indeed, the Colombian made an instant impact just two minutes after being introduced as he teed up Ola Lawal to level the scoring.

Falkirk sit in second place in League One as their attention will now shift to this weekend’s Scottish Cup tie against Wick Academy.

Kai Kennedy – Falkirk

Kai was a 71st minute substitute for Falkirk on Saturday in their back-and-forth 3-3 draw with Clyde in Lanarkshire.

It marked a 10th straight league appearance for the young midfielder in McGlynn’s side, and he will hope to be involved from the start in the Bairns’ Scottish Cup clash away to Wick Academy next time out.

Josh McPake – Queen’s Park

Josh made his fifth consecutive start in the Scottish Championship for the Spiders as they enjoyed an emphatic 5-2 victory over Raith Rovers in Kirkcaldy.

The youngster played 62 minutes of the game before being substituted and grabbed an assist as Owen Coyle’s side moved to within two points of top spot.

Queen’s Park will now turn their attention to next weekend’s Scottish Cup clash away to Peterhead.

Ben Williamson – Dundee

Ben started and played 72 minutes for Gary Bowyer’s side on Saturday afternoon as the Dee maintained their winning run with a 1-0 triumph over Hamilton Academical at Dens Park.

The 21-year-old was rewarded for his performance off the bench last weekend with a starting berth against the Accies and he helped the Dee continue their pursuit of Partick Thistle at the top of the table.

Bowyer’s side welcome Airdrieonians to Tayside in the Scottish Cup next Saturday afternoon.

Kane Ritchie-Hosler – Dunfermline Athletic

Kane was a 77th minute substitute for the Pars as they solidified top spot in League One with a 2-0 victory away to Peterhead.
