LEON Balogun insists it is a privilege for him to win more silverware with Rangers.
The Nigerian international defender returned to Ibrox in the summer after a year with English side QPR.
He loved every minute of getting his hands on the Viaplay Cup trophy with the 1-0 win over Aberdeen but says the players will be ready for the visit of St Johnstone on Wednesday.
Speaking to Rangers TV, he said: “When I left the first time, for me, it is the most special time I had in my career and that will never change.
“It is a privilege for me to be here at this stage of my career and to be winning silverware again.
“The fans are second to none, I have played in some big stadiums, but they are great.
“It is great to see the reaction from the fans. I am very happy and content.
“It is a great day to remember, I am starting to collect a lot of good memories from here.
“I am happy that we rewarded ourselves as well. I think we had quite the development in this season.
“I posted something last week, I am enjoying where the team are at the moment.
“I don’t want to be a buzz kill but we know we are in the middle of the season and we have more to play for.
“We will enjoy this and then make sure we are ready for Wednesday as there are some very important points to play for and we want to make sure we get them.”
It was a first trophy for boss Philippe Clement since taking over as manager in October.
Balogun has been impressed with the Belgian and says Clement will make sure his squad are set for Wednesday.
He added: “This is a big push for us. I am not a future teller but I am enjoying where we are going.
“The manager is honest, 24/7, and I am sure he will tell us to enjoy it but there will be some friendly reminders about Wednesday in his usual affirmative way.
“You saw him enjoying himself and it is important to take it all in.
“We have to take it into the next games as we have some massive matches coming up with massive points to play for.
“There is no time to rest, we enjoyed Sunday but we have to tune back in and go again on Wednesday.”
