LYALL CAMERON says he is loving life at Rangers and is desperate to keep the UEFA Champions League campaign on track.
The midfielder joined the Light Blues from Dundee in the summer and is one of nine new recruits to join Russell Martin’s squad.
Cameron never believed he would be deemed a marquee arrival, but he wants to play his part in helping the team try to record a first leg win over Viktoria Plzen in the third qualifying round.
Martin’s players were disappointed with Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Motherwell in their Premiership opener and Cameron says the squad are determined to put that right.
Speaking to the media, he said: “I am enjoying it and it is an amazing feeling being here.
“It has been great, we didn’t get off to the best start on Saturday against Motherwell but overall, it has been good.
“It is great for the confidence to get backing from the manager after the game, but we were disappointed as a team not to win. We know it wasn’t good enough.
“We can’t dwell on it, we can’t change it now, the beauty of it here is we have so many games and they come around quickly so we have to focus on that.
“We have reacted well, training has been good, and the overall atmosphere has been good.

“We have so many games, it is a big game and we are focused on that. We have recovered well and we are ready for the challenge.
“We did well to get past Panathinaikos as that was a difficult tie, so it is a good opportunity for us to get through. If I can play my part that would be great.
“I knew I would never be the massive signing, but I know what I can bring and I will try to implement that here.
“If I start then I would be delighted, but it is all about the team and we want to get through.
“I don’t know if I am playing, if I play then I will do my best and hopefully help the team win.”
While he is loving his new adventure at Ibrox, Cameron says he will never change his all-action style of giving 100 per cent, no matter the match.
He added: “It is different here to what I am used to. Every game is bigger, but I take the games as they come.
“I don’t get too involved in anything, I keep myself out of it. I have to give 100 per cent and to the best I can.
“My game is all about giving 100 per cent, I always work as hard as I can. Overall, we need to refer to what we have done in pre-season and play good football and create chances.
“We have to stay calm, it is so early in the season, we have to put Motherwell behind us and focus on this game.
“The games come around so quickly, but I am enjoying the challenge and I want to contribute as much as possible.”
