LIV MCLOUGHLIN is hoping to keep improving as a player after signing a deal to complete a permanent move to Rangers.
The 19-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan, put pen to paper on a two-year contract after a successful time north of the border so far.
Speaking to RangersTV after committing her future to the Light Blues, the midfielder has enjoyed her time in Glasgow since making the switch and is looking forward to continuing to work under head coach Jo Potter.
She commented: “How much has coming and playing up here helped your development as a player? I think playing every week you can gain a lot of confidence and playing under Jo as well.
“She makes sure that you do have confidence, being in a team like this where everyone strives to be better every day in training it helps you improve massively.
“It has been really good, I only ever had her as a coach before so coming as a manager she has made the club and our team so successful so far, hopefully we can go on to do more.
“My teammates have been really good with me. They have helped me settle in from the first day I got here, I feel really at home.”
The youngster played in her first cup final and scored in the Gers’ Sky Sports Cup success back in March in a 4-1 win over Partick Thistle, as she reflected on that day and life staying in Scotland.
She continued: “When you play in games like that and big moments like that you want it more and more. I think that is what we are striving for next season but it has been really good so far.
“What’s your favourite part about staying in Glasgow? Definitely not the weather, I think that is the same down south but the people are lovely and really friendly so that has helped.”
McLoughlin highlighted the opportunity to play Champions League football next season as a big factor in her decision as she hopes the team can have another successful campaign ahead as they look to build on their domestic cup double.
She added: “That was a big reason for me also to stay, that is such a huge achievement for us and something that we are really looking forward to and hopefully we can go as far as possible.
“I think we are really looking to make our mark in Europe next season and hopefully a lot more domestic success for us as well so that is what we are striving for.”
