RANGERS Chief Executive Officer Patrick Stewart has been appointed to the Board of the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) for the 2025/26 season.
The club welcomes this appointment as an important opportunity to help shape the future of the game in Scotland and ensure Rangers has a strong voice at the top of Scottish football.
Commenting on his appointment, Patrick Stewart said: “This is a time of real opportunity for Scottish football. I’m looking forward to working with colleagues from other clubs to ensure we’re united in raising standards and focused on the long-term good of the game.
“Representation in Scottish football is an issue our fans care deeply about, and it was rightly raised at our EGM this week. I take that responsibility seriously.
“Rangers will continue to play its part, offering both challenge and support where needed, as we seek to grow the game together.”
The SPFL Board for the 2025/26 season includes SPFL Chief Executive Neil Doncaster, Chairman Murdoch MacLennan, and Independent Non-Executive Director Karyn McCluskey. Patrick joins fellow Premiership representatives Malcolm McPherson of Hibernian, and Phyllis Carroll of Kilmarnock. Representing the Championship are Willie Houston, Ayr United and David Cook, Dunfermline Athletic. League 1 and League 2 are represented by Andrew Allan of Alloa Athletic and Alternate director Iain Dougan, Stranraer.
This appointment reflects Rangers’ ongoing commitment to helping strengthen Scottish football through constructive discussion and active participation in key committees and advisory groups.
