PHILIPPE CLEMENT wants Rangers to take the positives from last weekend’s cup success as they turn their attention back to league action tomorrow afternoon.
The Light Blues will host Ross County in the Scottish Premiership as they look for a third domestic win in a row after booking their place in the Premier Sports Cup quarter finals.
Speaking to the media in this afternoon’s press conference ahead of the fixture at Hampden Park, he commented: “I always try to make things better and I am focused on that.
“We should have killed the game off much earlier that game, but there were indeed a lot of positive points, in the way we did our building and the way that we could find space.
“The way we created chances, in the way that we defended.
“I still have pain in my stomach if I think about our game last season against Ross County.
“We know it is a tough opponent who will do everything to take us out of the game so I want confirmation from the players, the things they showed last week, that is what we have been working on during the week.”
The Belgian has provided an injury update on the squad as they ready themselves for their final two fixtures before the international break begins.
He added: “Leon Balogun is fit again and trained all week; Robin [Propper] is a doubt for tomorrow but he will be fit for next week.
“We don’t want to take risks for the longer term, Oscar Cortes will return next week as well.
“There is a small muscle problem for Scott Wright so he is a doubt as well but towards next week, hopefully we will have everyone back other than Ridvan.
“Nico Raskin trained with the squad today, Hamza Igamane has trained three days in a row and those are good things.
“We are looking forward to working hard to get the three points.”
