JO POTTER wants her team to strive for consistency as they target a place in the Sky Sports Cup last four this weekend.
Rangers host Boroughmuir Thistle at Broadwood Stadium in the quarter-final on Sunday afternoon as they aim for 10 domestic victories in a row.
Speaking to the official Rangers website ahead of the cup fixture, the head coach commented: “We go into every single game wanting to win it. This is no different for us, I want these games to become a regular occurrence and thing that we are stepping into games expecting to win because we do. All the players and the staff do.
“As I keep saying and banging on about it is how that looks and how we get to that stage, how we perform and apply ourselves. We are building some really good foundations and some good building blocks that I am happy with. We just need to make sure that we are continuing to do that and pushing forward.
“We will be going out there to put on a performance hopefully and get the win.”
The former Lioness says they will treat their SWPL 2 opposition with the respect they deserve as the Gers look to book their place in the semi-finals after claiming the trophy for the first time last season.
She continued: “We respect every single team. We have looked at them, we know they are not quite at the top of the table but they don't concede as many goals as the rest of the teams do. Even the teams that are sat above them, the few teams that are sat above them in the league.
“Their goal difference is low, which means that they don't really concede as many goals as everybody else but also in turn they don't score as many as everybody else. There is things there that we can exploit and look at.
Potter has also hailed the recent showings of striker Kirsty Howat after she claimed the SWPL player of the month for October and in doing so becoming the first player to win it on back-to-back occasions.
She added: “It is superb and fully deserved. If you look at her performances throughout the two months she is up there with goals scored and assists, her goal involvements are through the roof.
“You can just see when she is getting a call-up for the national team too she has had a very good two months and long may it continue.”
