RANGERS Player Awards ceremony took place this evening, with several awards presented across the Men’s, Women’s and Academy teams.
Here is a round-up of the winners:
Sam English Bowl - Presented by Cube Glass
Striker Cyriel Dessers picked-up the first award of the evening as he lifted the prestigious Sam English Bowl for Men’s Top Goalscorer.
The 30-year-old has already netted 24 goals this season and marked his 100th appearance for the club recently with a last minute winner against Dundee.
Jane Ross Plate - Delivered by SEKO
For the first time, the award for Women’s Top Goalscorer was named in honour of current Rangers striker Jane Ross, in recognition of her contributions to women’s football in Scotland, both for club and country.
Katie Wilkinson was the recipient this evening with 39 goals already for Jo Potter’s side seeing her top the women’s goalscoring charts.
John Greig CBE Achievement Award - Presented by S&B
Chosen by the greatest ever Ranger, John Greig CBE, the award is presented to recognise the commitment and dedication to the club.
This season, Greig named John Souttar as the recipient of the award for his contribution to the club. Souttar has been a stand out in defence once again in his third season, while also putting in some big display’s on the national stage for Scotland.
Women’s Players’ Player of the Year
Voted for by her teammates, Katie Wilkinson collected her second award of the evening, as she was named Women’s Players’ Player of the Year.
Men’s Players’ Player of the Year - Presented by Impact Signs
Nico Raskin was named Men’s Players’ Player of the Year, voted for by the men’s first-team squad.
The midfielder has had an impressive season in Light Blue and received the ultimate recognition from his fellow teammates with the award.
Academy Goal of the Season - Presented by Carrick Packaging
From a shortlist of some of the best Academy goals this campaign, Chris Eadie picked up the award after an exclusive vote by MyGers members.
It was Eadie’s goal against Celtic which received the most votes.
Women’s Goal of the Season
There were plenty of women’s goals to choose from this season in a high scoring campaign for Jo Potter’s side.
Coming out on top of the vote was Chelsea Cornet’s winning goal in a 3-2 victory over Celtic.
Men’s Goal of the Season - Presented by Rhino Express
A first Old Firm goal for Hamza Igamane, saw him pick up the Men's Goal of the Season for his memorable strike at Parkhead.
The Moroccan came off the bench to have a crucial impact with his fine finish in the 3-2 victory.
Men’s Young Player of the Year - Presented by Northern Piling
It was the second award of the evening for Hamza Igamane, who collected the Men’s Young Player of the Year Award.
In his first season at Rangers, the 22-year-old has settled into life in Glasgow and has already produced some big moments in Light Blue.
Women’s Young Player of the Year
Mia McAulay was the recipient of the Women’s Young Player of the Year award as she continues to shine in the Rangers first-team.
After a breakthrough campaign last year, Mia has once again impressed for Jo Potter’s side this campaign.
James Tavernier - 500 Appearance Recognition
Captain James Tavernier was welcomed to the stage to receive recognition for reaching his 500th appearance for the club this season.
Academy Player of the Year - Presented by Carrick Packaging
The award for Academy Player of the Year was presented to 16-year-old midfielder Aiden McCallion.
The youngster has recently been rewarded for his academy performances with a step-up to train with the Rangers first-team and has appeared on the bench in recent weeks.
Women’s Player of the Year - Delivered by SEKO
The accolade of Women’s Player of the Year was awarded to Brogan Hay.
Voted for by supporters, the winger came out on top for her display’s in Light Blue this season.
Men’s Player of the Year - Delivered by SEKO
It was a double for Nico Raskin, after earlier picking up Men’s Players’ Player of the Year, he was voted for by supporters as Men’s Player of the Year.
The 24-year-old has made over 40 appearances this season, earning himself a Belgian national team debut for his performances in Light Blue.
