ROBBIE Ure has credited his Rangers B teammates after the forward netted a hat-trick in his side’s 4-1 victory over East Stirlingshire in the Lowland League.
The 18-year-old continued his strong start to the campaign in front of goal as the Gers produced a strong attacking performance in Dumbarton.
Speaking exclusively to RangersTV, he reflected on his hat-trick: “It wasn't the cleanest few goals that I've scored tonight, but they all count. I'm happy to get on the end of whatever I can.
“I'm happy that I've got my teammates putting the ball into areas that makes it easy for me to score. We know each other really well on and off the pitch. We know the quality that we all have. If we move the ball quickly it'll break teams down.”
The Young Gers fell behind inside two minutes before pulling themselves back on level terms before the interval. Charlie Lindsay put Rangers ahead shortly after the interval before a quickfire double from Ure sealed his hat-trick and all three points for the Light Blues.
He continued: "The way we started the game was really poor. Sometimes at home that can be difficult when you go 1-0 down so early on, but credit to the boys - we scored four goals and it probably should have been more. We're happy with the three points and we keep moving.
"That's all you can do - keep your head up and keep going. We created a lot of chances and we only scored one in the first half. We knew that if we done the same in the second half the goals would come and they did.”
