Findlay Curtis: European Debut A Dream Come True

FINDLAY Curtis says it was a dream come true to make his European debut for Rangers at Old Trafford last night.

It has been a big week for the 18-year-old, who made his first appearance for the club in Sunday’s Scottish Cup victory over Fraserburgh, before being introduced at half-time against Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League.

Speaking exclusively to RangersTV at full-time, Curtis said: “It was a dream come true coming out at Old Trafford. I have dreamed of this since I was young, and I am buzzing to get my debut. It was a disappointing result in the end, but we move on.

“It was a surprise, I didn’t think I was getting on, but the message was just to do the exact same as what I did on Sunday against Fraserburgh, and I thought I did that.

“I thought it was an end-to-end game, we didn't take our chances, but it is about moving onto the next game against Dundee United so hopefully go and win that.”

The forward, who has been at Rangers since the age of 6, says he will continue to work hard to get more opportunities in Philippe Clement’s side.

He continued: “It is just about moving on, I need to keep on working hard and hopefully get a start soon.

“I didn't think I would be where I am just now to be fair, but I think it is just down to my hard work. I just need to keep on doing that, I'll always keep on doing it so I am buzzing the manager has given me my European debut and I will just keep on working.”
