Gers Head of Fan Engagement Appointed To ECA Fans Working Group

GREG MARSHALL, the club’s Head of Fan Engagement and Supporter Liaison Officer, has been appointed to a newly formed European Club Association (ECA) Fans Working Group – a forum designed to address fan concerns and improve the experience of supporters across European football.

Launched in the summer, the group reports directly to the ECA Executive Committee and UEFA stakeholder forums. Its purpose is to give clubs a stronger voice in areas including the away-fan experience, safety and match-day operations across European football.

Rangers will sit alongside leading European clubs including Atlético Madrid, Manchester City, RB Leipzig, Feyenoord and Juventus. We will bring our extensive experience in European competition and the perspective of our travelling fans.

Greg Marshall commented: “This appointment gives us the chance to share our perspective on how travelling supporters are treated across European football.

The group will focus on three key areas: improving the matchday experience for fans, particularly those attending away fixtures; understanding how supporter expectations and behaviours are evolving across Europe; and sharing practical solutions on ticketing, safety, and stadium operations to help raise standards throughout the game.

The appointment follows Rangers’ recent participation in the European Football Fans Congress and the European SLO Network meeting held in Malmö, where the club was represented by Greg Marshall and Fan Engagement Executive Calvin Stroyan.

These events brought together clubs, supporters, and governing bodies to share ideas on supporter liaison, matchday operations and cross-border cooperation.

This appointment reflects the club’s continued aim of ensuring our voice, and the voices of Rangers supporters are heard and respected, both at home and across Europe.
