Rangers Support Rainbow Laces Campaign

RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB is proud to show its support once again to the LGBTQ+ community within football by endorsing Stonewall Scotland’s Rainbow Laces initiative.

The ‘Rainbow Laces’ campaign aims to be a force for good within the sporting community and champion the way for inclusion and togetherness.

Unfortunately, many members of the LGBTQ+ community continue to experience unacceptable behaviour and discrimination in sport for simply being themselves.

To support the awareness of the campaign, the First Team trained in Rainbow Laces t-shirts on Friday as they prepare for Saturday’s league match against Dundee at Ibrox.

The Rainbow Laces campaign outlines the power that football can have to unite supporters from different backgrounds and mirrors the key messages of our ‘Everyone Anyone’ charter.

Rangers and Rangers Charity Foundation continue to work together to combat homophobia and reinforce diversity within the football community to encourage a positive and inclusive environment for supporters.

Rangers Managing Director, Stewart Robertson, commented: “Everyone at Rangers is again proud to support Stonewall Scotland’s Rainbow Laces campaign.

“The campaign acts as a force of good to push positivity and reflects the key messages of our ‘Everyone Anyone’ initiative at the club.

“Our initiative represents our core values and sends a clear message of inclusion, togetherness and zero-tolerance to all forms of discrimination – both on and off the pitch.

“We feel that it is the responsibility of everyone associated with the club – fans, players, staff and the wider community – to create a positive environment where our differences are celebrated.

“We passionately believe that our shared bond is our love of football, and no one should be excluded.

“Our ‘Everyone Anyone’ charter states that there is no place in society for bigotry, racism, sectarianism or homophobia.”

Connal Cochrane, Director of the Rangers Charity Foundation, added: “The Rangers Charity Foundation is proud to support the annual Rainbow Laces campaign and to be championing LGBTQ+ inclusion as part of our ground-breaking Diversity Wins schools’ education programme, which we deliver throughout the year.

“Football should be for everyone and anyone and we can all play a role in making that possible.”

Rangers have launched their 'Forever Together' Christmas marketing campaign for 2021. As it’s our 150th anniversary season, we wanted to create an authentic Christmas campaign that celebrates our fans, near and far and what brings them together over the festive period.

A subscription to RangersTV starts from just £6 per month, and provides not only exclusive access to the club’s teams, but also original feature videos and documentaries, our incredibly popular Inside Ibrox and Away Days shows and our extensive archive of match action from through the years.

MyGers members will also be awarded 25 points for purchasing an annual standard subscription, and 40 for an annual unlimited subscription.

Every MyGers membership contributes to the success of the first team as MyGers membership revenue goes directly towards the first team investment.
