SCOTT ARFIELD has taken time out to send Rangers fans a message with the country currently living through the COVID-19 crisis.
The Canada captain was speaking from his Glasgow home, where he is isolating with his family. He asked supporters to recognise the NHS’ work and although he is excited for a return to football, everyone should stay at home and stay safe during lockdown.
Speaking in a video message the forward said: “I just wanted to make a quick message to echo the government’s guidelines.
“I want to give a special mention to, obviously the NHS workers and the additional key workers in this minute in time.
“I think football takes a back step in this time that we find ourselves in and hopefully in due course, when everybody is safe, then we can get back to it.
“On behalf of myself, my family and Rangers Football Club I wish you all the best and see you soon.”
