The young Gers are still seeking their first points in the competition but can take huge encouragement from their display in their previous outing against League One outfit Queen of the South.
Speaking to RangersTV to reflect on Friday's Scottish Youth Cup success and look ahead to tomorrow evening, the teenager commented: "We need to start winning in the competition and getting points on the board to hopefully go through.
"It will be different [to Friday], but we'll be ready for it and hopefully we can win that one too."
McCallion sported the captain's armband for the Under-18s side as they produced a dominant and clinical display in a 4-0 away win over Dundee United.
Rangers got the scoring underway in Tayside through Cormac Christie on the stroke of the half-time interval before the forward grabbed his second of the contest between strikes from Max Cameron and Kyle Glasgow.
All three second-half goals were highlight reel worthy, and McCallion, who anchored the midfield with distinction, says the result was no more than the side's performance merited.
He added: "We saw the draw and knew it would be a hard game going there, but I thought as soon as we started we felt we were going to go and win the game, and that progressed through the full match.
"I thought in the second half we had perhaps a bit less control than in the first half, but overall it's a good win.
"The competition gives it a little bit extra as well. It's the Scottish Cup and you want to win every game; you don't get second chances.
"The mentality was good within the group and we showed that on the pitch.
"It may be a different game if we don't get that goal going into half-time 0-0. The goal from Cormac gives us a bit of security and we get the second goal not long into the second half, and we built from there.
"We need to bring that every game. It's only the first game in the competition for us, but we need to continue that [level] and take it game-by-game because if you start looking towards the final it's when you slip up and take your eye off the ball."
Kick-off at Galabank is 7:45pm tomorrow evening and you can purchase your tickets here to catch the young Gers in action!
