The Light Blues will run out at Dumbarton Stadium for the final time in 2022/23 against the side currently sitting in 10th position in the table as the sides round off their league schedule in the rearranged fixture from March 16.
Speaking ahead of the game the defender says the team want to end on a positive note and he is expecting a tough test with the two teams playing out an entertaining 3-3 draw when they last met back in August.
He said: “We are looking forward to it, we will hopefully try and get the win and a good performance as well to end off the season.
“I think after the first game it was a tough one, in the first half we did really well and then they came after us a bit more and they created a lot more problems for us.
“We have experienced it before so we have just got to go again and we just need to adapt to it.”
Allan was part of the side that won their penultimate fixture of the season 3-2 and says it is important the team can show they are capable of winning in different ways after coming from behind to beat East Stirlingshire with 10 men on Saturday afternoon.
He continued: “There is definitely a lot of character in the team, obviously it changes a game when you do go down to 10 men, but we always believed that we would win the game because we have got enough quality on the pitch to do so.
“It is good experience; you need to learn to win in different ways because that is what is it going to be like throughout your whole career.
“You are going to have to adapt to situations and try get the win in different ways sometimes.”
The Rangers number four says the season has been a rollercoaster but playing against a variety of teams in different venues has helped gain them further experience.
He added: “Overall it has been good, there has been a lot of ups and downs but it has been a good experience, obviously we could have done a bit better in the league and won it.
“The different venues and pitches are all challenges; it is all a learning curve and there has been ups and downs but it has been good overall.”
The centre-back moved into a midfield role in the second half in the weekend outing to good effect having won the penalty which proved to be the match winner and he feels playing in different positions has only helped enhance his development for the future.
He said: “I enjoy playing in midfield, I will always play where the coaching staff want me to play, I just adapt to it in game and just try my best for the team.
“I have played in loads of positions and played a lot of minutes and games this season, it has been good for my development and I am looking forward to the seasons ahead.”
