The duo will form part of the Rangers side for the iconic return of a Scottish football staple of the 1980s and 90s at Braehead Arena on the weekend of October 3 and 4.
Halliday spent five years at the club where he helped the side return to the Scottish Premiership and played his part in several memorable European evenings.
Macleod, meanwhile, graduated from the Rangers Academy as a youngster and made over 50 appearances for the club before Brentford came calling in January 2015.
They join manager Barry Ferguson, captain Lee McCulloch, and both Charlie Adam and Kris Boyd in the Gers squad, with further announcements to follow.
