Nigeria international Aribo netted a stunning goal against Dundee United after scoring the opener against Royal Antwerp in the Europa League last week.
This comes after Aribo’s first major injury of his career which kept him out of the opening stages of this season.
He reflected on his recovery today, explaining: "I was ahead of myself. As the gaffer said, it was my first long-term injury and I thought I could just come back and get up to speed straight away.
"I knew I had to bide my team in the end, but I just wanted to get back playing and be at my best straight away.
"But, it is more of a journey rather than just getting to the finishing line straight away.
"I spoke to my family a lot more and I had them pushing me and helping me. They were around here and there so just having them there helped me with the injury.
"I know if I ever get another injury, I am going to have to take my time. I remember when I was first injured, I spoke to the gaffer, and he said to me that he had been there, and he understands it and not to worry about it."
Gers hold a 4-3 advantage going into tomorrow’s second leg with Antwerp – but Aribo still knows there is work to be done.
He added: "To play in European football is a big stage, so it is always nice to be involved in these kind of fixtures and to play in these games.
"It is just the cherry on the icing.
"The boys are in high spirits. All we are doing, though, is just taking every game as it comes.
"We are just looking at the next 90 minutes and wanting to get the result that is needed in order to keep pushing to where we are going."
