The 23-year-old scored his second goal in the competition, before Sheyi Ojo added a second after half-time and he joked that Scott Arfield was crying for him to pass before he hit the net.
Rangers dominated the Luxembourg side and James Tavernier missed a second half penalty but Aribo wanted more.
He told RangersTV: “It was a frustrating evening in terms of getting what we wanted to get but I am proud of the result and proud of what we are going to take into the second leg.
“There are positives to take out of that game, we were pressing them none stop for the 90′ and we just weren’t clinical enough.
“All I wanted to do from the minute I came in here is show what I am capable of and I just want to go from strength to strength now.”
Aribo was deployed in a midfield three alongside Ryan Jack and Steven Davis and says he has been learning from the Northern Ireland captain since his arrival from Charlton this summer.
