The Light Blues return from their summer break today as preparations get underway ahead of the new campaign following the announcement of the 2023/24 fixtures yesterday.
The winger spoke to RangersTV ahead of the return after being awarded the goal of the season for 2022/23 for her wonder strike against Hibs in their Sky Sports Cup win back in December as she reflected on that moment and looked ahead to the new campaign working under Potter, she said: “I am grateful that I have been recognised for that, it was a special moment and obviously for the club as well at the time to win that trophy, it is often something you dream about as a kid scoring a goal like that in a cup final.
The 27-year-old has thanked departing head coach Malky Thomson for his contributions to the club following his return to the academy and says the club have extra motivation to win back the league title and further silverware in the new campaign.
She continued: “What Malky did for us was great and we have had a great three years with him, but I think in football and there is time for a change, as a group maybe it was the time for that, I hope that shows on the pitch and results go our way as well.
The Light Blues will being their new league campaign with a trip to the capital to face Spartans before they run out on home turf for the first time under their new head coach against Aberdeen seven days later and Arnot has highlighted the importance of a strong start to the season.
She added: “It is massive, that first game there is always nerves and excitement but we will just use pre-season to prepare as best as we can and be ready for that.”
