The first-team coach was extremely pleased with how his players adapted to the changes made by the staff ahead of the game, where Kemar Roofe netted the opening goal on what was his first start.
Beale is now expecting Roofe to kick-on even further following the victory at the weekend after getting off the mark against a typically dogged opponent.
Speaking to RangersTV yesterday, Beale explained: "I was delighted with it. You know Kilmarnock are going to try and come to take anything they can from the game.
"So it wasn't a surprise the way they played. We mixed a few things up to try and add an element of surprise to the game and be slightly more direct.
"So he has come in and brought a real freshness and a lot of flexibility. He is not set to one position Kemar as he is a sort-of hybrid forward - he can play anywhere across the front line and it is nice to see him get off the mark.
"He is obviously slightly behind everybody else pre-season wise, but every single day, you see him getting a bit sharper and it was a special moment for him personally."
On Saturday, as there has been throughout this season, subtle alterations were made to the shape of the team, with Beale continuing: "Players give you options - that's the biggest thing, and sometimes you have a squad where you don't have enough options in the building and certain players have come in the building and given us more options.
"This season in general, we have played completely differently to last year, but it's maybe not always visible on the eye to maybe people on the outside.
"I still think though, it is about us taking our chances - I saw a statistic from the analysis department that we have had 100 shots in the five games and only 15 against - we are happy to have scored nine, but with 100 shots, we would like to score one or two more.
"At the weekend, we only had slightly better chances than the weekend before, but obviously, we were just a little more clinical."
One of the other major positives from Saturday’s win was a first league outing for the 18 year-old already having made his club and European debuts earlier this year.
Beale, a previous top-level Academy coach, has been hugely impressed by what he has brought to the group.
He said: "Fantastic, and I am really, really enjoying working with him. He has been with us now for the best part of eight to 12 months now and when he first came over, he looked like a young boy and had a lot of work to do.
"But now every day, he is looking fitter, stronger and more focused and he is looking every day a bit more like a man.
"We are quite excited with him and Calvin [Bassey]. We played a behind closed-doors match last week and they both scored which was fantastic for them.
"But we are really happy - obviously our full-back are a big part of the way we play. They had over 30 assists last season and we have six assists between Borna [Barisic] and Tav [James Tavernier] already this season.

"Young Nathan and Calvin have got it all to do, but we are so pleased with both, and in particular Nathan, that will be a really proud moment for him and his family.
"He deserves it, and there will be many more in the coming months and years I am sure."
In Patterson’s appearances so far, he hasn’t looked out of place in a technical or physical sense, nor in a tactical sense, with Beale adding: "That comes with training with us every day and the intensity that we train at and the messages being the same.
"Nathan has come in and had the impact of training every single day and Tavernier needs to look over his shoulder a little bit!
"I've lives this scenario before with Trent Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool - a young right-back who had the same sort of energy and application to his work, so that is a nice pat on the back for Nathan.
"But a word of caution - we've got it all to do still."
