Bojan Miovski: I Am Ready To Help The Team

BOJAN MIOVSKI is hoping he can write his own history at Rangers after joining the club on a four-year contract earlier today.

The striker, who spent two years in the Scottish Premiership with Aberdeen, is excited to be back in Scotland, and has already been on the pitch with his new teammates ahead of tomorrow’s Old Firm derby.

In an exclusive first interview with RangersTV, Miovski said: “I am so happy to be here, I am excited, and I am ready to help the team.

“I already know the club, I have been in Scotland, so I know about the history behind the club, it means a lot to me to be here, and I am really looking forward to making my own history.

“I have a lot of friends in Scotland, and they all only say good words about Rangers. I am really looking forward to it to be honest, I am ready to play and as I say to help the team.”

After leaving Scotland in August 2024, the striker spent last season in La Liga and says all of his experiences have helped him grow as a player.

He added: “Aberdeen bought me when I was in Hungary, and it was a good step for me. I spent two amazing years there.

Of course, life moves on, I went to Spain, and it was another experience, it was a different experience and now I am really happy to be here. You grow up step by step, and every step I make in my career is for my family.”

On what he wants to add to the team, Miovski said: “Goals! I am a really positive guy, I will try to give my best for the fans and make them happy, happy with goals and happy with trophies.”

With a full pre-season under his belt at Girona, the striker is hopeful he can play a part at Ibrox tomorrow afternoon.

He continued: “Training was really good, it has been a busy three days for me, but I am happy that I am here.

"I trained with the boys, I met them all and they are all really good guys. Some of them I know, and they have helped me a lot, so I am really looking forward to it.

“I did a full pre-season with Girona, I played friendly games, and I played the first game in La Liga. I don’t need to say a lot of words about the history of the Old Firm, but I am excited that it could be my first game, and I hope we can get the three points.”

Sunday’s men’s first team programme feature comes from summer signing Nasser Djiga, who makes his return from a one-match suspension and hopes to play his part in his first taste of the matchup since making a season-long loan move north of the border from English Premier League side Wolves.

We will have our usual fast facts from the derby showdowns over the years, whilst nine-in-a-row hero John ‘Bomber’ Brown will look back at his memorable moment of finding the target during an away clash between the teams in January 1992.

Youngster Findlay Curtis is the next player to answer our quickfire A-Z questions, club historian David Mason tells the story of Alec Bennett, the gentleman who crossed the great city divide, whilst the Hutton brothers look back on their time through the youth ranks in blue having penned contracts with the club over the summer.

All of this, and so much more, will be on hand for supporters to enjoy, and programmes are available to buy pre-match at Ibrox or online HERE.
