Gilmour outlined the opportunity the youngsters are given to showcase their ability on the pitch and in training ahead of every game.
Speaking exclusively to RangersTV ahead of their next league campaign tie, the B Team assistant coach highlighted what they are anticipating of the match. He said: “It’s another game in the league campaign that will bring challenges itself.
“It’s going to be our third fixture in the space of a week or so, we will prepare as we always do, and it will give an opportunity for another game to come our way and hopefully we’ll get another performance and victory on there a well.
“It’s another tough tie, we knew that when we came into this programme it was always going to be a challenge, but we’ll look upon ourselves and to our own levels in terms of what we can get to.
“Looking at our last few games, we’ve hit some really high levels and we were quite consistent throughout the two games as well.”
Gilmour underlined the chance the young players have to impress and showcase their abilities every day in training. He added: “Consistency is one of the biggest key messages with young players.
“Our levels of consistency have moved longer throughout the game, that will be one key message. Opportunity will be given, there is always an opportunity not just in the game but every day in training to go and impress and put yourself forward.
“It will be no different on Tuesday night with the team that is fielded we will still have those expectations.”
