The Light Blues contested a pre-season friendly against Inter Milan on Wednesday evening, as they now gear up for the challenge of AC later today.
Speaking to the official club website to look ahead to their next friendly outing, she commented: “It is really good that we face challenges that we might not face week in week out in our league. It is good to come up against different opposition and playing styles.
“It gives us time to adapt and play against different formations than what we might face throughout the year.
“I think it is really important to get away and it good with the warm weather as well.
“For the girls it is just really good to have different opportunities and we are grateful that we get these opportunities with Rangers.
“It is a challenging week physically but that is what pre-season is all about.
“It just good for everyone to get some game time and we face AC Milan and we know they are going to give us different threats to what Inter did and they are going to be another top side. These are the kind of games you want to play in.
“We need to challenge ourselves and we need to have these games to look back and on and see where we can improve as players.
“It is important for us as a group to come up against top opposition because we are going to face that sometimes and going forward if we want to look at progressing at Champions League and stuff like that this is the kind of teams that we might face.
“It is important that we get these opportunities to go and play against top teams and see how we can compete.”
The Scotland international has spoken about the benefits of going away for the week and how much the squad can get out of it, with the chance to integrate new signings and become closer as a group.
She continued: “It has been really good. I think it is a really good activity to come here and for the team to bond.
“We have obviously got a few additions to the team so it is important that we start the season with an opportunity to spend a lot of time with each other and get to know each other as people as well as players.
“Throughout the camp we are playing two games and we have had one tough match and we know there will be another one coming up.
“That is what is pre-season is all about and to be here for the week and spend it with all the staff and the girls it is a good opportunity for us to gel together.
“New signings? I think they have adapted really well to our playing style from what we have seen so far.
“They are both really nice girls and I think that they'll fit in well with our group. It is important that you make people feel welcome as players and newcomers as much as they feel welcome on the pitch.
“Off the pitch it has been part of our job as teammates whilst we have been here is to make them feel welcome. I don't doubt that is what we have all done.”
The winger reflected on their midweek matchup against last season’s Serie A runners-up. Despite the end scoreline, she feels there was positives to take whilst getting back into good habits in front of goal in their last two outings ahead of the start of the new SWPL campaign on August 17.
She added: “They were a really good side; it is maybe challenges that we don't face as frequent back home in the league.
“It was interesting to see the threats that they gave us and we had to come up with solutions on the pitch and ways that we could try and hurt them.

“It was a really challenging game, I think all the girls would have felt that way and it is good for us to analyse the moments in games and look at difficult teams and see what we can do to improve because it is the only way that we are going to get better is if we play against them.
“That is what all the hard work in pre-season is for is all heading towards that first league game.
“All the hard work we have put in throughout the past few weeks and playing top opposition, challenging ourselves is all looking towards that first game.
“All the girls will just be really looking forward to getting the league started.”
