Brogan Hay Loving Life At Rangers

BROGAN HAY says she is loving her time at Rangers after agreeing a deal to extend her stay at the club.

The 25-year-old joined the Gers back in 2017 going on to make over 100 appearances in that time as she put pen to paper to commit for another three seasons in Glasgow.

Speaking to RangersTV recently on her new contract, the winger reflected on her time at the Light Blues so far and says there are exciting times to look forward to in the future.

She commented: “I have been here a long time and I have loved every second of it and last season was just the same.

“Some new faces in and some new staff and it has just been a freshness that I think has been really good for myself and I have enjoyed working alongside the staff and the players.

“Obviously we have got Champions League football to look forward to, that is a big factor and everybody wants to play in that.

“To be tied down to be a part of this next season is really exciting.

“I have really enjoyed this season working with Jo. I think she has come in and brought a new dynamic to the team and we have really gelled together.

“I have enjoyed it so to sign on for the next couple years I am delighted.”

The Scotland international has spoken of achieving the 100 appearances milestone in the most recent campaign and her favourite moments in a Rangers jersey so far, as she says the squad will be raring to go come the start of the new SWPL campaign in mid-August.

She continued: “My best memory at Rangers so far? Winning trophies, you never get sick and tired of that feeling especially doing it alongside some of your best friends.

“Hopefully we can add more trophies to the cabinet and celebrate, that is what we like to do.

“It was a massive moment; I have been here a while now and to reach that milestone was a big moment for me and my family.

“To do it at Rangers I couldn't imagine doing it anywhere else and I'll look forward to the next few games.

“That is ultimately what we want to do, is get success and I think we will look back on what we have already done and see what we need to do to become more successful.

“We'll work hard with the staff and the players and we'll have a good pre-season and we will be raring to go next season.

Hay highlighted the competition for places in the team as being a key factor in the sides success, as she heaped praise on fellow wide player Mia McAulay for her impact on the team in the last 12 months.

She added: “I think that is where a lot of our success comes from, is the real competitive environment that we create.

“It is a good competitive level that we create, it pushes everyone to be the best version of themselves.

“We have had young players like Mia coming through, she has been excellent and had a great season.

“I look forward to seeing how far she can go with this and I like to have that competitive edge, it helps everybody on the pitch.”
