The winger helped herself to two assists in Sunday’s 4-1 Sky Sports Cup win over Partick Thistle at Tynecastle.
Hay’s pass from a well worked corner for Rachel Rowe’s fine finish put the Gers back in front after Rachel Donaldson had cancelled out Mia McAulay’s early opener.
Rio Hardy notched the third before Hay teed up McLoughlin to fire home the fourth from close range early in the second half.
Hay could have gone for goal herself but put it on a plate for the midfielder and the playmaker was delighted to help the club retain the trophy they won last season.
Speaking to RangersTV, she said: “I saw Liv was in a better position and I didn’t have a second thought other than to lay it off and hoped we would get another goal and we did, so I am happy enough with that.
“I think you could see different types of goals on Sunday. We had four different scorers which is really important.
“It shows the hard work we put in throughout the week and we scored some great goals.
“It’s amazing and we got what we went for, to retain the trophy.
“There is no better feeling than when you lift the trophy with your team-mates.
“It is what all the hard work is for. It feels like it all pays off when you win.”
Sunday’s final saw a record-breaking crowd of almost 5,000 come through the gates in the capital as boss Jo Potter led her side to the first silverware of the campaign.
Hay was delighted to see so many Rangers fans coming to support the team in their quest for glory.
While the players enjoyed the celebrations on Sunday night, the 25-year-old says their full attention has already switched to this Sunday’s league clash with Hibernian.
She added: “So many fans came in their numbers and we heard them throughout the game and it gives us an extra push sometimes.
“We enjoyed Sunday but our focus is now on this weekend against Hibernian.
“We take each game as it comes as that’s the only way we can move forward.”
